Seal your showerwall panels with Cladseal
If you are doing a makeover of your bathroom and have invested in showerwall panels rather than tiles then you should seal your showerwall panels with Cladseal. Cladseal 18 Shower Tray and Bath Seal Kit, is an 45/64″ (18mm) wide sealing profile that is suitable for shower pans, bath tubs and worktops. It is fitted to the tray/bath and wall prior to fitting the shower wall panels. It is ideal to seal a gap between the horizontal and vertical surface is not greater than 5/16″ (8mm). The thickness of the wall panel should not exceed 25/64 (10mm).
Cladseal 18 profiles allow for downward movement in the shower tray (or bath) by its patented pre-applied bond breaker tape. When using narrow showerwall panels e.g. 15/64″ (5-6mm) wide we reccommend to use ‘Sealux 15’ as an alternative to Cladseal 18.
Showerwall panels are an increasing trend in the USA as they offer stylish design and durability to the bathrooms of today. Wall panels whilst offer the distinct advantages of elegance and easy cleaning they also should be used with a suitable sealing system where the panel meets the bath tub or shower pan. Cladseal is specifically designed for PVC showerwall panels and we recommend using Sealux-N silicone (Sanitary grade, high quality neutral curing silicone) with Cladseal 18 Seals.
Always fit the seal to the shower pan or bath tub before installation of the showerwall panels commence.
